M.I.T. student Ben Campbell wants to transfer to the Harvard School of Medicine, but he cannot afford the $300,000 for the tuition. Then he is introduced into a small but secretive club by his math professor, Micky Rosa, who is training the members in the skill of blackjack card counting. Using the skills of code talk and hand signals, the students make hundreds of thousands of dollars at casinos in Las Vegas. Then a brutal casino security enforcer becomes aware of the club's activities and threatens to undo everything the students have learned and earned.
