Description
The ancient Greeks were fascinated by nature, and their storytellers created tales to explain natural phenomena. In this video, students learn the mythical rationale for the cycle of the seasons through the myth of Persephone and how the narcissus flower was named for a mythical vain young man. Kids also learn the story of Helios, the sun god and how the Greeks explained the presence of deserts, volcanoes and ice caps on the earthly landscape.
