The voyage home: Branded as fugitives by the Federation, Kirk and his crew are returning to Earth to face charges when they learn the planet is being ravaged by a strange alien probe demanding a response from a life form that has been long extinct. Commandeering a captured Klingon Bird of Prey, they bend space and time to save Earth.
